Kent vs Essex
Whats better?

I'd say KENT.

Essex has generally much nicer places and Kent has some absolute toilets, but a lot of the people in Essex are cunts (if you get personally offended by this, this probably includes you)

By producing programs like TOWIE and having an entire genre of jokes made about the women there, if anyone says they're from Essex they immediately get thought to be a bit dim (even if they're not). On the other hand, because of Royal Tonbridge Wells and the name as "the garden of England", everyone thinks Kent is posh.

Kent also has coastal national treasures like the white cliffs of Dover. Essex has Jaywick

Entering Kent from Essex you go over an amazingly tall bridge with views over the Thames seeing the capital. Entering Essex from Kent you go under a shitty dirty old tunnel.

Also bluewater is better than lakeside.

Discuss.

Yeah, to be fair, you make a good point. Plenty of Cockneys in Kent too, of course. The Kent - Cockney hybrid just seems to work better. For some reason, mix Cockney with Essex and you get a whiny, metrosexual man who fake tans, highlights his hair and prefers a wine bar to a boozer.

In Kent, the Cockney becomes a dignified squire whilst maintaining the lovable Cockney traits.

Re: Kent vs Essex
Why should anyone oppose Cockneys moving in - we're great. Or rather my grandparents were.

Of course, Kent doesn't see it that way, but that's why they should be supporting Millwall.

To be fair to Essex, it's upped it's game since the Cockneys invaded......agan, without any opposition.

I think it's Czech handball.

Poland is probably the second best at it, after the demise of Yugoslavia.

Pickle not for the first time on this thread your making yourself look daft.

The tree gave out in a storm in 2005.

They were already growing a replacement which is now outside the boundary.

The new granny flats on that side of the.ground have fucked up the atmosphere of the ground in my opinion. A big shame.

Despite that it is still one on the great non test grounds of cricket anywhere in the world, the Woolley stand is a great place to upset the home support and the old school scoreboard is fantastic.

While you're here

Game played in Poland, looks a bit like Aussie rules football, played with what looks like a size 3 football.

What the fuck is it?

(Saw it in a drama set in a bit of Poland that used to be a bit of Germany - German inscriptions in the stonework of buildings)

Kent has some.magnificent countryside, coastline and heritage sites.

Essex has Joey Essex.

Re: Kent vs Essex
Maybe that's because Kent had a 1st class cricket ground with a tree inside the boundary ropes at St Lawrence, Canterbury.

Until it died in 1999.

The last time I saw Kent they may as well have been holding sticks of rhubarb. (© Boycott)

By their own account, they were holding bits of tree.

The Normans had just sorted the proper Anglo-Saxon army.

Armed with proper weapons.

Carry on with the joke. It's funny
